To operate the camera controls while your head is
inside the SLR BLACKJACKET™, you’ll need
to get your hands into the darkened environment somehow.
There is actually
enough room
for most people to squeeze their head, shoulders and arms into the
trunk of the jacket, but why do that? You have sleeves! So, with your
head in the trunk, you should be able to easily locate the dangling
sleeves and insert your hand. Most often, only the right hand is in
the darkened environment, while the left hand stays out to operate
manual focus and zoom controls. In challenging weather, both sleeves
would typically be used, since the lens would most likely be entirely
inside the darkened environment.
If you can’t locate the sleeves, take your head
out of the trunk for a moment so that you can see what you’re
doing. The sleeves are loose-fitting on purpose, to make it easy to
get your hands
in
and out even when wearing bulky clothing. The part that seems to
confuse people is that you actually slide your arms in from the outside.
